Vessel Designs + chosen object

 we chose sour patch gummies for our object! I'm pretty sure just one piece of candy though. 




These are my sketches for ideas

I kinda went in a spooky direction because of halloween still being on the mind. Maybe a creepy eyeball that opens and the candy is inside? or a spider?


My initial idea was the dentures opening and the candy being inside. also i didnt sketch sour patch gummies at the time of these sketches because i did not know what kind of candy we would be using. so ignore the generalized candy drawings and pretend theyre sour patch gummies. I thought a set of teeth (dentures) might be cool because when it opens and closes its like its eating the candy? The syringe and pill drawings are because Julianna suggested a pill bottle and i was coming up with a couple ideas surrounding that
Here are my final sketches I came up with. Emmanuel suggested a jack-o-lantern when we first discussed ideas in classes, and so i drew it. unsure if it was to open from the mouth or the head (i like the mouth better) Also more on the spooky halloween theme I had going on: i thought maybe a house for the candies to live in, and made it a "haunted" house (sorta like how people decorate their houses for halloween)

Im not sure if we need to decide yet. Im unsure between the dentures and the haunted house, those two are my favourite designs. At the time of this blog post, Emmanuel shared some sketches and he also had the same house idea I had (without halloween) and so I have a feeling we will be doing a house vessel which I really like.

NEW Coat hanger concepts

 Ignore my last post! I didn't meet requirements and also didn't understand instillations Whale! I drew it from multiple POVs. the idea is that the blowhole is blowing out water and some of that becomes the coat hook. As you can see from the top POV, half of this model is flat on one side so it has the ability to be installed. There are holes in the fins for wear the screws would go.  This is a seemingly normal coat hook with a bird on top. The eyes of the birds are actually holes for where the screws go in. More whale designs! This one is honestly probably my favourite, a whale tail extends from the wall and the fins become hooks. Again, there are holes for where screws would go. I got this idea just by thinking of things that mount. People mount animal heads.. why not a deer for a coat hook?  This assignment was a little more difficult for me, and I feel I kind of did the same thing over and over. You can see my progress and how I get the hang of it a little more with each concept! This is my first concept, it's very simple and uncomplicated, I tried! This was my second concept. It's a little more simple and I kind of didn't really have much ideas or an approach.  My third concept is more or less the same thing as above just inverted, but you can see the clogs turning in my head This is my fourth concept. I kind of had the idea to make it like a funky lamp? I like this one a lot. It feels like something I'd actually own (as a lamp) This is my fifth concept, I think it's really cool.
